Vietnam Plywood Manufacturer Sao Viet Breaks Ground on VND 180 Billion Wood Processing Factory

Sao Viet Tuyen Quang Co., Ltd., a Vietnam-based plywood manufacturer and wood products exporter, officially broke ground on its new Export Wood Processing Factory on October 29, 2026, at Long Binh An Industrial Park in Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam. The new Export Wood Processing Factory is located at Long Binh An Industrial Park, Tuyen Quang Province, Vietnam, and covers a project site of approximately 4.15 hectares.

According to the announced project design, the facility has planned annual production capacities of:

• 20,000 m³ of Birch plywood
• 5,000 m³ of wood flooring
• 5,000 m³ of edge-glued wood panels
• Additional processed wood products

Beyond these announced production categories, Sao Viet’s development strategy also includes expanding its capabilities across a broader portfolio of plywood and engineered wood products.

Birch Plywood

Birch-faced plywood for woodworking, furniture manufacturing and industrial applications, with specifications tailored to customers’ requirements.

Melamine Plywood

Melamine-faced plywood designed for furniture components, cabinetry, shelving and interior applications.

LVL – Laminated Veneer Lumber

Engineered wood products manufactured from bonded veneer layers for applications requiring specified dimensional and mechanical properties.

Other Commercial Plywood and Processed Wood Products

Additional products developed to meet market demand, technical specifications and individual purchasing requirements.

Once the new project is completed and reaches stable operations, Sao Viet is targeting a monthly supply capacity of approximately 170–180 shipping containers.

This planned capacity represents the company’s ambition to further strengthen its manufacturing scale and support growing demand from domestic and international customers.
